A Oklahoma man charged in connection with a car crash that killed three people is now also facing drug charges in Payne County Oklahoma.
Steven Wade Jameson, a former Oklahoma State University student, is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stillwater Police SWAT served a search warrant to Jameson's home at the 500 block of S. Walnut on Nov. 23 about 7:10 a.m., according to court records.
During the search, Tom McConaghy, a Stillwater police officer, found about 1 gram of marijuana, a smoking pipe and several pills in Jameson's bedroom.
McConaghy also found cans of beer, a violation of Jameson's bail agreement, along with Niacin and water pills, which are typical items people take to mask drugs in their system, according to the affidavit.
Jameson, 21, was arrested on Dec. 23, but is out on bail. Both charges are punishable by imprisonment for up to one year. He is set to appear before a Oklahoma Payne County judge on Feb. 3 at 3:30 p.m.
Jameson was involved in a Christmas Eve car crash that killed a family of three.
He is charged in Tulsa County with three counts of first-degree manslaughter, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of driving without a license.
Michael Mulanax, 42, Angela Mulanax, 41, and their son, James Mulanax, 18, died when Jameson lost control of his yellow Hummer SUV and crossed the centerline of State Highway 51 in Sand Springs near Avery Drive.
The Hummer was traveling 13 mph over the posted speed limit at the time it collided with the Mulanax's black Chevrolet Cobalt.
During the Sept. 29 preliminary hearing, Michael Paul Wallace, a toxicologist for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, presented evidence that Jameson was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the crash.
