Oklahoma authorities bust meth lab across from school

WYNNEWOOD, Oklahoma - After receiving a number of complaints, Oklahoma authorities busted a meth lab across the street from Wynnewood Elementary School

Oklahoma authorities have had their eyes on this home for two months and after a team effort with the Oklahoma sheriff's department, police, and the drug task force, they say all that surveillance finally paid off.

The iron fence surrounding Wynnewood Elementary School is meant to protect children--but it can't always shield them from what's on the other side.

"Our agency has received numerous complaints, Garvin sheriff's department has received complaints, Wynnewood PD received complains about the drug activity - the high amount of traffic coming in and out of the house during school hours." Said Donny Anderson, Task Force Investigator.

The drugs were allegedly coming from this house directly across the street from the school and after two months of staking out the place "we got a search warrant" explained Anderson.

Oklahoma authorities made their move. "There were five people, inside, 4 of whom we knew would be there. They were our targets," says Anderson.

Oklahoma authorities arrested Jim Dearman, Sheri Holland, Carlee Goff - and the alleged ringleader, Billy Collins. They now face a long list of charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia and manufacturing methemphetamines near a school.

"It's always a concern for us but hen it's right across the street from a playground, it heightens the sense of importance for us" explained Anderson

Neighbors didn't want to talk with us on camera - but say Wynnewood is normally a peaceful community where children can play on the streets and be safe---and they want it to stay that way.

"We're not going to just sit back and let you, especially get near our children," said Steve Brooks, Garvin County Undersheriff

Oklahoma authorities say they are hoping for a stiff penalty for the four suspects, especially after another man in Garvin County, Oklahoma last year was arrested and charged with manufacturing meth. They say he received life in prison for his crime. The four suspects will be in court Thursday afternoon.
